Executive Safety
Street violence that includes senseless unprovoked assaults, violent robbery with weapons, molestation, attempted rape or kidnapping, can happen when you least expect it and are potentially life threatening. Victims of such aggression need to learn appropriate strategies and tactics to de-escalate, evade or control and restraint their assailant until help comes. Using knowledge drawn from both psychology and body guarding training, participants learn how identify sign of an imminent attack, and position oneself to de-escalate or create opportunities to escape. Only as a last resort is physical strategies used to defend oneself to survive an assault. Instead of relying on strength based techniques that are often taught in combative sports (E.g Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Mixed Martial Arts etc), participants learn how to use principles of bio-mechanics and leverage to protect themselves.
The workshop will be conducted by the Chief Instructor for ladies self defense Ms Qin Yunquan, and/ or with Master Teo Yew Chye, the Chief Instructor of Kapap Academy and a psychologist. Ms Qin and Master Teo are both certified bodyguards by two former elite Israeli commandos, Colonel Chaim Peer and Major Avi Nardia. Ms Qin was also the first lady in Asia to become a Kapap/ Krav Maga Instructor by the International Kapap Federation, a certified Gracie Combatives instructor by the renowned Gracie Academy (US), and the only Asian to be certified by the legendary Billy Robinson. She is also Bas Rutten MMA instructor and a National Athlete in wrestling. Master Teo has been a life long martial artist with 32 years experience at both learning and teaching realistic self defense skills. He has trained professional military and police units including the US Navy base in Singapore, Israel embassy security staff, Special Operations Command and the Army Development Force (international peacekeeping force).

Tactical Pen Defense
The best self defense weapon to have is the one you have when you need it! A functional pen that actually works increases the likelihood of you carrying it on a daily basis, and having it with you when the need arises. Using the solidly built MTech Xtreme Tactical Pen, participants will learn how to use this modern everyday tool for both self defense, and control and restraint purposes. The MTech Xtreme Tactical Pen (US) is a fully functional pen made of high grade aluminum. The top end of the pen is a DNA catch crown that is designed to cut skin so that identification of your assailant through his DNA can be made possible. The tip end of the pen can be used as a glass breaker as well as for self defense purposes.
Whether it be in stand up engagement or on the ground, we will teach you how to conceal your Tactical pen, deploy it fast, and use it to defend yourself. In situations of molestation, learn how to use the tactical pen against specific pressure points to make your attacker regret he ever laid his hands on you. The tactical pen is also sturdy enough to be used to damage muscle groups, fracture bones or to break windows for escape purpose if the need arises.

The Psychology of Negotiation is designed to equip you with the psychological skills and tools to gain insight into the mind of a negotiator, and teach you the secrets that would give you the upper hand in closing a deal. Drawing from the research field of micro-momentary expressions or micro-tells, non-verbal communication and negotiation routines, participants learn to negotiate like a pro! A proprietary model, Psych-negotiate, is taught to help participants navigate through the process - from pre-negotiation, negotiation to post-negotiation planning. Detecting Deception
Deception is a fact of everyday living but you need not be a victim to deceit, betrayal or a business scam. While there is, in reality, no fool proof way to detect them all the time, there are methodologies and techniques you can learn and use that can help you increase your probability of detecting deception. Drawing from the science of non-verbal communication such as facial expressions, speech patterns, body postures etc, you will learn how to unmask signals of deception to discover another's real intent. You will also learn to discover anxiety 'tells' - emotional leakages that provide you behavioural cues that someone may be telling a lie. In other words, you will become skilled in detecting deception with the skills to look for the right cues, and the know-how to interpret them.

Mental Resilience
Mental resilience is concerned with the ability to bounce back from setbacks. Whilst failures and setbacks are unavoidable in life, one can learn to face failure positively and bounce back from setbacks.
Based on decades of psychological research, the programme draws extensively from Cognitive Psychology, and in particular, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is an established area of psychological interventions that recognises that people hold values and beliefs about themselves, the world and other people that may be inaccurate and inflexible. Decades of research have demonstrated that the way people think can affect the way we respond to adversities. By changing the way we perceive or interpret our emotions and events that happen to us, we can respond in a more stoic manner. CBT is a goal-oriented, systematic, problem-solving approach to improving one's mental attitude to life's challenges.
Consulting Psychologist Teo Yew Chye was the first Asian to be certified as a Trainer with the Penn Resiliency Program (University of Pennsylvania and the work of Professor Martin Seligman) - the program that inspired the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness program used by the US government to train 1.4 million uniformed personnel. CCT's version of resilience training however has been developed after 5 years of field-testing of different experiential approaches with over 4,000 participants. Designed for the Asian markets, our classroom based training includes the practice of personal protection/ self defense skills in conjunction with acquisition of cognitive skills to develop stronger mental resilience. The indomitable spirit of the martial artist and the practice of drills help to develop the same mental strength that modern psychologists are now re-discovering as the science of resilience.
